I like using Wordle. I will be trying Taxedo next. I was using Wordle to crete a Word search type of activity. As an example I typed in long vowel a words and short vowel a words. I then had students circle only the long vowel a words that they found. I loved the idea of a classroom polling that can be done right then and there.

It took me a little bit to figure out which buttons to use to record. I love love love this bit of technology. I love the children singing to the chick. I listened to it so I could use the song!

There are many interesting ideas for using voki in education. I can see older students using this more than my first grade newbies- they still hunt and peck on the computer or click away millions of times ...

Week 3 Thing 7

This is an old picture of my identical twin sister and me. She was down visiting for my mom's 80th birthday for the Fourth of July weekend! Hence the patriotic facepaint!

This was an extremely easy program to use and add effects. I have a ton of digital photos waiting for me to start my scrapbooking of these years. I am just finishing the old negative film ones. Now I can add effects before I print them for my scrapbooks. I can see how this will slow my process down if I get too caught up in all the effects! What fun!

Wow, this was fun but hard to do! I loved the idea of creating a panel story then leaving a panel with a scene but blank speech bubble to allow students to work on the story.

I'm a traditional scrapbooker with paper and photos who has just hit the digital years.  I've been thinking about switching over and this might just push me in that direction.
