Week 9 thing 23

Wow, this has been an incredible journey for me.  I am happy that you reopened the workshop for the summer months- I could never have spent as much time exploring everything. I knew that I was behind the times and I feel a little more savy about the tech talk among the younger crowd.  I look forward to future posts on Junkie blog.  THANK YOU!

Week 9 Thing 22

My first attempt at a Glog.  I had trouble with Teacher Tube so I used a YouTube Video link which won't fly at school.  I'll have to work on the glitches.  Do you have any suggestions?  TeacherTube kept getting hung up.

Week 8 Thing 19

I saw a cute activity for a center where photos were printed out with bubbles either blank or just started and the students had to finish the story line, add character dialogues, etc. It would be cute to capture students in class and then bubblesnap their feelings. This would be particularly helpful for some of the challenging repeat offenders on behavior. You would actually ask them to reflect on why they acted a certain way ... or it might create more problems for the "fun" of the activity. Won't know until I try unless you have some experience Cassie???

Extra, Extra Blog all about it

I had fun with this one!

Week 7 Thing 18

I like using Wordle. I will be trying Taxedo next. I was using Wordle to crete a Word search type of activity. As an example I typed in long vowel a words and short vowel a words. I then had students circle only the long vowel a words that they found. I loved the idea of a classroom polling that can be done right then and there.
